Simple and easy cycling route from Dugo Selo to Sisak, following river Sava. Route is nicely suited for family cycling. It is not long, no ascent and very low traffic, particularly after village Oborova along right bank of Sava river. Road from Dugo Selo to Rugvica has more traffic because it connects Dugo Selo with highway. For more pleasant cycling use pedestrian sidewalk.
At Rugvica, we continue to right along Sava river where traffic is low. At village Oborovo we cross Sava river with ferryboat. Road along right side of river is with very low traffic therefore pleasant for cycling.
We meet few gravels along the way, but they are in excellent condition and road bike handles them with easy.
We can reach Dugo Selo with train from Zagreb. Same, going back to Zagreb, we can use train too. It is comfortable and fast.
